I called today to ask why my insurance rates keep increasing, and spoke with DJ — the same representative I usually deal with. Instead of offering an explanation or trying to help, he simply told me, “This is what we can offer you right now.” When I mentioned that I had received a more competitive quote from another insurance, his response was, “It’s your choice to keep State Farm or not,” and then he abruptly ended the call. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and at least given a proper explanation. If representatives can’t offer support or show basic courtesy, then perhaps customer service isn't the right field for them. This interaction has made me seriously consider switching providers."
